Nollie Robinson, MA, CEO
Nollie brings to A Road To Recovery over 30 years of clinical and program management experience. Nollie Holds both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Education in addition to the many Clinical treatment credentials he has held over the years. During his 30 plus year career, Nollie has held positions ranging from Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of a Health Care Corporation where he was responsible for managing 16 programs in 5 states, COO and Program Director of a 72 bed Residential Treatment facility, Director of Outpatient Services for a large publicly funded Substance Abuse Treatment Corporation Managing a multitude of programs over a four county wide area to Programs Coordinator for at least one large County Jail. Those who know Nollie as well as so many of the thousands of individuals he has provided help to over his many years, say that “Nollie is one of those rare people who have a gift for helping others, the kind of gift that can only come straight from the heart”. As one of the founders of A Road To Recovery, Nollie’s goal was to help create and be part of, a facility where finally, each person would be treated for the individual they are and helping People would be the first priority always and above any other considerations of finance. Nollie’s philosophy and the philosophy of all the staff at A Road To Recovery is, “Put caring for people as individuals first and the rest will take care of itself”.
Dr. Robert Antoine, MD
Dr. Robert Antoine is a practicing psychologist and a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr Antoine graduated from York College and completed his clinical psychology internship at The Columbia University affiliate of New York Harlem Hospital. Having started his career at Kings Park Psychiatric Center in Kings Park, NY, Dr. Antoine has also held positions at some of the nation’s leading Mental Health Hospitals and facilities which specialize in addiction and dual diagnosis such as North Shore LIJ, Woodhull Hospital and Mental Health Center, Brooklyn NY, Jersey City Medical Center, Jersey City NJ and Began Pines County Hospital, Paramus NJ, just to name a few. After 25 years of hospital and medical center psychiatric service, currently Dr. Antoine maintains a private practice in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and holds privileges at five of South Florida’s most premier medical centers in addition to his Directorship at A Road to Recovery. In his capacity as Medical Director of A Road to Recovery, Dr. Antoine provides psychiatric and/or physical assessment to all new A Road to Recovery client admissions. After completing psychiatric assessments, Dr. Antoine assists in developing individualized treatment plans for clients where dual diagnosis, depression or other mental health issues may present a hindrance to recovery. We at A Road to Recovery feel fortunate to have a person such as Dr. Antoine with the ARTR team and family.
Vice President, CFO
Ruth provides A Road To Recovery with her over 40 years of corporate and business management experience. As one of the founders of A Road To Recovery, Ruth also brings her own personal experience with addiction and recovery in having a son who had battled addiction throughout his life before achieving sobriety at age 42. During her over 25 years of herself, battling with her son’s addiction, Ruth was involved in a variety of Parents Programs and Ala-Non as well as attending many educational classes and seminars. It was this same involvement that led to her being asked to address the New Jersey State Senate on the need for state funding for addiction treatment and services. Having started her corporate and business career in Data Processing, Ruth has spent over the past 20 years in Business Finance and Management. Since it’s inception, as CFO, Ruth has been responsible the Business Accounting and Financial Management of A Road To Recovery. It has been Ruth’s careful financial management that has enabled A Road To Recovery to continuously provide quality treatment at an affordable and cost effective level to clients and their families.
President of A Road To Recovery
John provides to A Road to Recovery, his over 20 years of successful experience in business management, marketing and administration. As one of the founders of A Road to Recovery, John has been instrumental in managing the growth and direction of the facility since its inception. John is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of A Road to Recovery and works closely with its Program Director, Vice President of Operations & Marketing and Operations Manager to best insure that A Road to Recovery continually provides the highest quality of care possible. John also serves as the A Road to Recovery Compliancy Officer. Often at his desk long into the evening hours, John puts his heart and soul into A Road to Recovery and works tirelessly to ensure that the facility stays constantly abreast of, and in compliance with, any and all changes in treatment and regulatory processes and procedures required by the State of Florida Department of Children and Families, through which A Road to Recovery is Licensed and monitored. When meeting John, it is immediately apparent, the caring, dedication and passion John feels towards A Road to Recovery, their clients and each and every one of its staff members whom he refers to as “a family”.
Gary has been working in the field(s) of chemical dependency and mental health for over 38 years. Gary holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree with Highest Honors from Florida International University and a Masters of Social Work degree from Florida State University. Having been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1986, Gary considers the work he does with clients as his life’s true Spiritual calling. Exuding a true passion for his profession, still, after almost 40 years, each day Gary looks forward to working with clients and Staff alike. Gary always has time to assist the client, family member or therapist who needs an ear. As a highly trained and experienced Clinical Professional, Gary is expert in providing individual, group, marital and family counseling as well as also providing individual and group clinical supervision and training to ARTR staff and interns.
Nick Joined the team in May of 2012 and his passion for recovery and dedication to A Road to Recovery does not go unnoticed. Nick serves as the Chief Operating Officer and is often working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is running smoothly on a day to day basis. He works closely with John Ferraro, A Road To Recovery President, to make sure our clients are getting the best possible treatment. From working with our technical and clinical staff, to staying on top of the maintenance at our office and residences, Nick is always happy to do anything he can to better our program. He is also responsible for making sure all of our client and employee records are up to par with the Department of Children and Families regulations.
Ruth J. Worsham LMHC CART
Ruth has 10 years of experience in counseling with individuals, couples, and families. Moreover, she is a certified accelerated resolution therapist. Accelerated resolution therapy is used to treat addictions, depression, anxiety, abuse, grief, obsessive compulsive disorder, and PTSD in a rapid manner.
Executive Director of Admissions
Salvatore Chillemi was born and raised in Long Island, New York. The struggles in his life with addiction brought him to Port St Lucie, Florida where he was able to achieve long term sobriety. Salvatore has worked for A Road to Recovery for several years, holding many positions such as Transportation Technician, Administrative Assistant, Discharge Coordinator, and Admissions Coordinator. Sal plays a vital role in ensuring the Admissions process at A Road to Recovery is smooth and informative for all of our clients and their loved ones.
Mr. Danny Felici is an enthusiastic individual and one of many alumni who have achieved long-term sobriety and are now employed at A Road to Recovery. He had struggled with substance abuse for over 10 years and while attending our program, he found that there truly is a way to live an alcohol and drug free life. He remains active in the community and has devoted his life to helping others who suffer from addiction and alcoholism. We are more than happy to have him be a member of our staff. Mark joined the family three years ago as an overnight tech and through the years he has worked his way up to being the technical staff supervisor. Mark, with seven plus years in recovery, has a real heart for the clients and can often be found sharing his own story of overcoming addiction. His duties include hiring new staff, training existing staff on new policies and procedures, creating and maintaining work schedules for the technical staff, and working closely with Nick O’Brien with the daily business at A Road to Recovery.
